Hooraaaaaay! I'm back and I have access to a scanner again! Time for a new apartment (six roommates now instead of four; let's see how that goes...) and a new school year. Back to the books, and back to having something to do besides work fast food and waste time. Alaska was fun and I finally saw a moose! Several, actually, at different times of course. I got to hike, meet interesting people, and live with my roommate's crazy (but fun) family for an entire summer. Lots of Alaskan stuff and the Alaskan State Fair too, where I went to a David Archuleta concert(he's the guy who came second on American Idol a year or two ago, in case you didn't know--someone had to tell me ). Crazy story by the way! I actually got to meet him face to face and even get pictures with him the night before along with about 14-20 other people because he's Mormon like I am. It was so weird! We met him at the temple (the younger girls were freaking out) and afterwords he came to someones house with us and we had like a fireside and he talked to us for about an hour and a half. The woman who was his pianist (I forgot her name ) talked to us too for ten minutes (well, she talked first). And then she played while he sang "The Spirit of God" for us. It was amazing! Even better than the concert, being that close.

Yup, lots of summer adventures, and to top it off, my family in Texas moved to Tennessee while I was gone... Weird. And sad. I never got to properly say goodbye to all my friends there! I'm hoping I'll be able to go back for a little next summer or the summer after or something... :/
